Basel Switzerland is the place to be in the art world this week as the annual Art Basel Show takes place. Over 300 leading art galleries from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America will be exhibiting Modern and Contemporary art, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations and videos.
Tens of thousands of patrons are expected to visit the popular exhibit, which takes place in Basel, a city prized for its world class museums, theaters, concert halls and strikingly modernistic architecture. Basel is also the location of the Basel World watch and jewelry exhibit, which takes place every spring in the famous city.
