When it comes to best case material  for a diving watch, active sports timepiece or oversized “muscle” watch, titanium is the metal of choice. This relatively new metal has been used in the craftsmanship of watch cases and bracelets for less than 25 years and is more desired by many than stainless steel and even 14K or 18K gold.
